According to MoDaCo, ASUS has confirmed with them that they will be launching the extraordinary ASUS PadFone at next month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). Before this big reveal, there has been a lot of speculation on whether or not ASUS will finally be launching the tablet/smartphone hybrid. With the report MoDaCo obtained, we finally got our answers and yes, we’ll be seeing the device in Barcelona come February 27.


Lenovo Thinkpad and IdeaPad Getting ICS-ed in Q2

In the battle of Android tablets, Lenovo is the latest to announce that they will be offering tablets running on the latest Android OS, Android 4.0. For the second quarter of the year, Lenovo has plans to update their Thinkpad tablet. Although this might seem impossible, with Q2 only a few months away, Lenovo is pretty confident that they’ll have the tablet in time for the expected date. Considering that the Thinkpad already came out last summer, Lenovo will have enough time to provide the update for the tablet.


Symantec Downgrade Trojan Alert to Adware Notification

Last week, Symantec reported on the discovery of a new Android "Trojan" - Android.Counterclank - that has been thriving in the Android Market and has been downloaded several million times this year. With this huge number of downloads, it has even been awarded the dubious honour of being the most widespread mobile malware found so far this year. However, Symantec later clarified that its labeling of "Android.Counterclank" as malware/trojan was not accurate and in subsequent updates, downplay the malicious nature of the embedded package.


The Galaxy Tab on the London Eye
