There have been rumours previously that Samsung had done a U-turn on their decision with regards to the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab.
Apparently, the ferocious feedback from anguished Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab users have spurred Samsung to do a review of their decision.
This further prompted some speculations that there could be some form of "slimmed" down version of Ice Cream Sandwich (Value Pack) that will be released for the these 2 models sometime this year.
However, this speculation has now been put to rest by an official statement from Samsung stating that there are no plans to roll out any form of Value Pack for these 2 models due to hardware limitations on these older devices.
We are certainly less than impressed by this end result and we are guessing this decision would have caused a portion of Samsung users to reconsider getting the Galaxy S2 or the Galaxy S3 as their upgrade path.
