After the Super Bowl announced they were making an Android app to coincide with the games, we all knew what would happen next; the only thing we didn’t know was: Who else would follow suit?
Fortunately, we no longer have to wait too long for this. The Phoenix Suns has just announced that they will be teaming up with Verizon Wireless and Samsung in order to bring Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets to the much beloved sport of basketball.
Throughout the Phoenix Suns’ season, these 4G LTE-enabled devices will be utilized. Workers during the game will show prospective clients interactive views of each game seat. In addition, users get to search for kiosks or other retailers that can be found in the arena.
Each Suns player will also be receiving a Galaxy Tab 10.1; which includes the team’s playbook, scouting reports, travel itineraries, and videos. The tablet’s 4G LTE feature will also means that these data will be updated on the fly.
Suns’ coach Alvin Gentry said: “Today’s announcement marks the beginning of a new era in the NBA, where I think teams throughout the league will want to integrate a tablet into their operations.”
Now, I wonder what would happen if the Samsung Galaxy Tab is banned in the US?
