Your Samsung Galaxy S2 is a powerful device but unfortunately, not a lot of people know about the tweaks and shortcuts hidden away that can make your experience even better. As such, we have gone and compile a list of them for you. Hope that this will improve your Samsung Galaxy experience even more!

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Quick Calls & Texts

Once you have the contact you want to call or text in front of you, instead of entering it and then carrying out the operation, you can simply swipe left to place a call or swipe right to enter a text.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Screenshots:

Hit the Home button and then the Power key while holding onto Home to take a screenshot! The image can be found in the Gallery.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Brightness Adjust:

The notification bar can serve as a brightness scroll on the Galaxy S 2 if you are not using the auto brightness option. Just hit the notification bar, hold for a second and swipe left to decrease and right to increase the brightness.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Browser Text Wrap:

Samsung Galaxy S2 Browser does not enable text reflow by default. You need to enable it manually. To do so, launch the default Android browser, go to Settings then enable ‘Auto-fit pages - Format Web pages to fit the screen’.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Tab Switching:

While you are viewing a webpage, just pinch out and you will be shown the other tabs that are open, or you can even open a new one.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Custom Fonts:

The Galaxy S2 comes with inbuilt support for custom fonts. To choose your fonts, please go to: Settings -> Display -> Screen Display -> Font Style, choose from the three options or "Get Fonts Online"!

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Video Lock:

Pressing the power button when you are using a video player locks the screen. Now you can hold the device any way you like and it will not gravitate between landscape and portrait mode. You will not accidentally press anything on the screen again while watching your video.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Tips and Tricks - Search Key:

The SGS2 does not have a dedicated search key that all other Android devices have, but if you press on the menu button long enough, it doubles up as a search key and pulls search up, wherever you need it.
