Emissary of War Battles for Android RPGs

Last Updated on Monday, 17 October 2011 00:08

If Emissary of War looks a bit like Neverwinter Nights, a third-person perspective role-playing game that allowed gamers to expand the playing world by adding their own maps and content, it’s hardly surprising. The game’s publisher, Cedar Hill Games, is headed by Tobyn Manthorpe, the former lead at BioWare, makers of Neverwinter Nights, as well as Mass Effect and the RPG classic Baldur’s Gate.

Numerix is a cerebral game of skill and chance in which playing the odds is just as important as strategy. The rules are simple - roll 3 dice and place or slide a counter onto any square that matches the dice. Take your opponent's counters by surrounding them with 3 of yours, as he will do to you. The first player reduced to 3 counters wins. Sounds easy, right? The Lite Edition features a challenging AI opponent and a hotseat 2-player mode.

Tile Takedown is a scrambled word game available from the Android Market.

It is a similar concept to Boggle and other scrambled word games such as Wixel and WordUp, but it has a lot of other features that other games do not have.  One of the more unique feature is the support of free real-time online multiplayer gameplay.  No other scrambled word game on the market has this functionality.
