First it was the Super Bowl, and now the Grammy Awards is following suit in creating an Android app for smartphone and tablet users. Through this app, people on the go are able to keep themselves updated with the latest events happening at the upcoming Grammys.
The app will not only provide news updates, exclusive photos and videos, and music trivia, it will also be integrated with Twitter so users can count on getting a constant supply fresh content. Moreover, the app has a ‘Guess the Winner’ polling tool, where fans can vote amongst themselves on who the possible Grammy winners are as the event unfolds. The app also has a live streaming of the music of the nominees through Grammy Radio.

The app was made possible through the support of CBS Interactive, who is also a part of the network who is scheduled to provide a TV broadcast of the show. When the app was launched, Marc DeBevoise, CBS Interactive’s senior vice president said:
“We’re excited to be partnering with The Recording Academy to bring music fans this incredible multi-platform experience. By making this program available in so many ways, we’re catering to all music fans, giving them an exclusive virtual ticket to the biggest music event of the year on any device.”
