After years of being iOS-only, the official Wikipedia app has finally come to Android. Why does the app takes this long to be released on the Android platform will forever be a mystery to us. However, it's always better late than never!
Similar to the iPhone app, the Android one pulls content from the mobile site, letting you bookmark pages or search for entries located near you. Android users will get a few perks though. Users will be able to save articles for offline use, use Android's "Share" function, and view any given article in a different language, rather than switching the language of the whole site.

The app has been up since last week, and was getting plenty of press as one of the ways to access Wikipedia during its recent SOPA 24-hour blackout.
Check the app out yourself at the Android Market now!
